I've had MS for 20 years. My constipation went away when I switched to a more meat-based carnivore diet. The higher fat I am eating helps, not fiber. I don't use meds for this.

I have ms, and my symptoms seem to go wild lately but also I’ve had ms for nearly 20 years now. A friend has point me to the carnivore diet which I want to start soon as. Please feel free to share more of your experience with this diet… I suffer with fatigue and it’s very hard to manage. Did your energy levels improve?? Many thanks 🙏

@@aluna_m888 The brain fog lifted on day 10. I started having more energy after a month. I'm off most of the stimulants I had to take daily to function. I don't take daily naps anymore. Dave Mac interviewed me on YT @zerocarb. It posted on 4/2/24. He has an MS playlist.

Thanks love the connection to your bowels explanation…my bowels are complicated from the ms and have been even more challenging since I switched to Aubagio. I hadn’t thought about training my bowels but from this I did realize that I feel most comfortable when my bowels move every other day…now instead of worrying I can observe and train…😊

Two things that have helped me:
1 - Taking fiber supplements daily
2 - Jumping for short periods of time on a mini-trampoline with a handle

    Hi Dr. Gretchen.
A few years ago I had a lot of trouble with my bowels exploding. It was very messy and frequent. I finally figured out how to get back control.
    1. I cut back on coffee and beer.
    2. I started wearing suspenders. Having a BELT tight around your waist squishes all your internal organs.
    Everything is fine now.

I'm on stool softener as well as philips milk of magnias, i take pills as opposed to liquid, works better for me, i have bowl movement about 3 times a week, I'm going to start taking more fiber.

My gluten and core have been on a vacation for a long time. Would it be fine to use these exercises to bring them back home?

absolutely! Glute and core strengthening is always helpful, even if you’re unable to feel the muscles activate at first since you haven’t used them in a while.
